Schurz High School Description
Schurz High School is a public four-year high school located in the Irving Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1904, Schurz has been providing quality education to students for over 100 years. The school offers an array of academic programs and extracurricular activities that are designed to meet the needs of all its students.
The student body at Schurz is diverse and includes students from many different backgrounds and cultures. This diversity allows for a unique learning environment where everyone can learn from each other's experiences and perspectives. In addition to traditional classes such as math, science, English, history, foreign language, art, music and physical education; Schurz also offers specialized courses like computer programming and robotics.
At Schurz High School there are numerous clubs available for students to join including chess club, debate team, drama club and more. There are also several sports teams which compete against other schools in the area including football, basketball, baseball/softball and volleyball. Additionally there are after-school activities such as tutoring services offered by teachers or counselors who help with homework assignments or provide guidance on college applications or career paths.
