Perry High School Description
Perry High School is a public school located in Perry, Georgia. It serves students from grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students. The school was founded in 1891 and is part of the Houston County Schools system.
The mission of Perry High School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence, personal growth, and responsible citizenship. The faculty and staff strive to create an atmosphere where all students can reach their full potential through rigorous instruction, meaningful activities, and positive relationships with peers and adults.
At Perry High School there are many opportunities for student involvement including athletics (football, basketball, baseball/softball), clubs (National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America), performing arts (band & chorus) as well as other extracurricular activities such as robotics club or yearbook production.
Perry High School also offers Advanced Placement courses which allow students to earn college credit while still in high school. Additionally they offer dual enrollment classes so that qualified juniors and seniors may take college level courses at local universities or colleges while still enrolled at PHS.
Overall Perry High School provides its students with a quality education that prepares them for success after graduation whether it be attending college or entering the workforce directly upon graduation.
